Deovlet Wines

June

Born from a deep love of the land and a commitment to craft, Deovlet Wines was founded in 2008 by owner and winemaker Ryan Deovlet with just two tons of Pinot Noir sourced from La Encantada Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA. What began as a modest passion project has grown into one of the Central Coast’s most celebrated small producers, drawing on some of Santa Barbara County’s finest vineyard sites to craft wines of uncommon purity and precision.

Ryan’s winemaking philosophy is rooted in restraint and terroir-transparency. Working across a distinctive roster of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a ramato-style Pinot Grigio, he and assistant winemaker Grace Kegel produce wines that are understated, finessed, and compellingly site-specific. Critics have consistently praised Deovlet’s ability to express both richness and freshness in every bottle, a hallmark of cool-climate winemaking at its finest. Deovlet Wines has been named to Wine & Spirits Magazine’s Top 100 Wineries of the World multiple times, and has earned widespread acclaim from voices including Antonio Galloni of Vinous, Jeb Dunnuck, and Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate.

Based in San Luis Obispo and currently developing a 10-acre estate vineyard in nearby Los Osos Valley, Deovlet Wines remains a deeply personal project, guided by a shared vision of producing wines that offer a true sense of place over trend, with an unwavering eye on quality and consistency.
